Learn to Paint Watercolor with Award-Winning Artist Ryan Fox
Whether you’re picking up a watercolor brush for the first time or looking to push your paintings in a more creative direction, my goal is simple: make watercolor easier, more enjoyable, and a lot less intimidating.
I teach workshops across the United States featuring both traditional and non-traditional watercolor techniques, with an emphasis on simplifying complex subjects, encouraging experimentation, and helping students develop their own artistic voice rather than simply copying photographs. My classes combine live demonstrations, individual instruction, constructive critiques, and plenty of humor along the way.
Every workshop is designed so students leave with new skills, greater confidence, and paintings they’re proud of.
Hosting a Workshop?
I’m always looking to partner with watercolor societies, art leagues, galleries, community colleges, museums, and art centers interested in bringing engaging watercolor workshops to their members.
My workshops are designed to appeal to beginners through advanced painters and cover a wide variety of subjects, including:
- Watercolor Batik on Japanese Rice Paper
- Beginning Watercolor
- Impressionistic Watercolors (No Brush Required!)
- Watercolor Again! (mid-advanced students)
- Pouring Watercolor
- Rule-Breaking Watercolor Techniques
I offer one-day, two-day, three-day, and multi-day workshops, demonstrations, critiques, and presentations.
If you’re interested in hosting a workshop, I’d love to hear from you.
